What the EAN content tool returns
The tool returns the content a retailer needs to list a product: title, brand, category path, long description, a specification table and product images. It takes only a barcode as input, so you do not need an ASIN or a retailer URL.
- Title and brand as listed by the marketplace the content came from.

Why images come from one source
A single product often has images on several marketplaces. Mixing them gives a set with different crops, backgrounds and sizes. The tool picks the source with the most images for the product and shows up to 5 of those. The source name appears under the images.
When to use the API instead
This page is for single lookups. For catalogue enrichment, the API runs the same lookup on thousands of EANs and returns the full image list and all sources.

What is an EAN?+
An EAN (European Article Number) is the 13 digit barcode number printed on a product. It is a GTIN-13 in the GS1 system. Shorter and longer variants exist: EAN-8, UPC-12 and GTIN-14.
Where does the content come from?+
From marketplace and shop listings that carry the barcode. The tool shows the source of the images under the picture.
Why do I see at most 5 images?+
The free tool caps the gallery at 5 images from one source. Some products have more than 30 images on a marketplace. The API returns the full list.
Why is the content not in my language?+
The country setting asks for content for that market, but not every product has a local listing. When none exists, the tool returns the listing it found elsewhere.
Why does my EAN get rejected?+
The last digit of an EAN is a check digit. If it does not match the other digits, the code contains a typo, and the tool stops before running a lookup.
